Celebrating our Communities

Those of us who live in Southern Idaho know for a fact, that this area hosts many wonderful opportunities for fun, culture, community and more all through the year. Here are a few events to add to your calendars for 2018, featuring SIRD rural communities:

Sponsored by Idaho Power, Edward Jones Financial Advisors and Wills Toyota, the Magic Valley Arts Council presents the 26th Annual Thousand Springs Festival of the Arts, September 22 & 23, 2018 on Ritter Island at Thousand Springs State Park, Hagerman, ID. Offering live entertainment from around the region, artist booths with uniquely created work, plus a variety of food and beverage, this event is a fall favorite.

More than 90 artists will line the park, with exciting new work coming in from out of state as well as many old favorites. A number of interesting history and informational booths along with artisan demonstrators means there’s something of interest for everyone! Relax in the beer and wine garden while listening to some great tunes.

Enjoy scenic waterfalls, canoe rides and enjoy a ride aboard a horse or mule drawn wagon, an adventure for the whole family!

Thousand Springs Festival of the Arts has something for everyone with a full day of relaxation, beauty and entertainment! Plan to come and spend the day with us at one of fall’s great events!

For over twenty years the residents of Magic Valley have celebrated the importance and impact of the dairy industry on our region through Magic Valley Dairy Days in Wendell ID. Join us in celebrating as we continue this tradition!

Buhl Sagebrush Days will be held on Wednesday, July 3rd – Thursday, July 4th, 2018 in Buhl, Idaho. This celebration is held at Eastman Park and hosted by Buhl Chamber of Commerce.

This annual 4th of July tradition will start with an all you can eat Trout feed on July 3rd at the Senior Center on Main Street and continue on July 4th with the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Buhl Key Club Fun Run, the longest parade in Southern Idaho, food & craft vendors in Eastman Park, (8th Ave North), anvil firing and fireworks at dusk.

Outlaw Day is an event that was started by some local cowboys wanting to raise money for a community pool which soon turned into an annual event for friends and families to get together every year to kick up their heels and reminisce about past years fun! See you there!  This looks like an amazing event!

A signature Southern Idaho event, Shoshone Arts In The Park, now in its 30th year will welcome over 40+ artists from around the Western United States. offering paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, glass, woodwork, photography, folk art & much more.  Entertainment and cuisine will complement the art exhibitors, creating a sensory filled weekend experience.  Be a part of the tradition… join us at the 30th Annual Shoshone Arts in the Park for a weekend long celebration of art, food, music and fun!
